Job Description:
rockITdata is seeking aTechnical Writer to join our team. The Technical Writer will support enterprise IT operations by developing strategic communications and maintaining high-quality technical documentation. This role enhances IT efficiency and stakeholder engagement while ensuring alignment with federal and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement communication strategies to promote IT services, increase user adoption, and enhance stakeholder satisfaction within the enterpriseenvironment.

• Create, edit, and manage a wide range of technical documentation, including:

  • User manuals

  • System documentation

  • Training materials

  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

• Coordinate and distribute internal and external content that is clear, accurate, and audience appropriate.

• Collaborate closely with variousteams to gather technical input and translate complex concepts into accessible formats.

• Ensure all documentation and communication outputs are consistent, high-quality, and compliant with USACE standards.

• Analyze feedback and data to continuously improve communication efforts and documentation clarity.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in strategic communications, technical writing, or related disciplines.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• High attention to detail and the ability to clearly convey technical information.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and Content Management Systems (CMS).

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience using data analytics to assess and improve communication strategies.

• Familiarity with federal agencies or government contract environments is a plus.
