Saronic Technologies Inc. is seeking a Technical Writer to craft clear, concise documentation for our autonomous surface vessels and related hardware/software platforms.

You will work closely with engineering teams to translate complex concepts into end-user friendly manuals, service guides, and developer docs, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and DoD guidelines. Ideal candidates have strong writing and editing skills, experience with docs as code, Markdown, and basic

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience documenting complex hardware and software platforms in tech or defense environments.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to communicate complex info clearly.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to gather information and understand technical specifications and requirements
• Create and maintain technical maintenance documentation, including service manuals, work instructions, service support, etc
• Build writing processes and strategies with an eye to scale
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear and accessible documentation
• Ensure documentation adheres to industry standards and DoD guidelines
• Review and edit documentation for accuracy, consistency, and clarity
• Plan, track, and coordinate documentation projects across necessary teams to meet deadlines
• Continuously update and improve existing documentation based on feedback
