Job summary

BAILEY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, LLC (BIT, LLC) seeks a Technical Writer for the United States Capitol Police, Office of Information Services, located in Southwest Washington, DC. You will prepare, edit, and maintain technical documents to reflect accurate, consistent standards across the organization.

Full-time schedule with core hours 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; minimum 2 days on-site per week, up to 3 days telework after a 2-month acclimation, with security requirements including background checks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of technical writing and desktop publishing experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, edit, and maintain technical documents such as manuals, guides, training materials, and reports.
• Work with subject matter experts to ensure documents are accurate, consistent, and aligned with organizational standards.
• Support document review, updates, and publishing processes.
• Interface with the Document Workflow System to ensure proper routing, review, and completion of all required sign-offs.
