About The Team

Our Product and Technology teams are the Worldpayers behind the game-changing products and digital experiences we’re best known for. Striving for better, they never stand still — delivering impactful innovations that power transactions across the world.

The mission of the Worldpay for Platforms Technical Documentation team is to create excellent documentation that helps all Payrix Pro users and contributes to their success.

The Worldpay for Platforms Technical Documentation team is a small yet highly collaborative and mighty group! We follow an Agile practice of Scrumban and Extreme Programming, using techniques like pair writing to produce Payrix Pro documentation on a weekly basis.

What You’ll Own

  1. Documentation Development: Collaborate with other teams to gather information and understand product functionalities and features. Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including user guides, release notes, developer documentation, and online help systems.
  2. Practice Development: Assist in building an Agile practice and culture of excellence for technical documentation for both the Worldpay for Platforms Technical Documentation team and the broader Worldpay organization.
  3. Content Strategy: Develop and implement documentation strategies that align with company goals and ensure consistency across all technical materials.
  4. Process Improvement: Recommend improvements to documentation, documentation tools, business processes, and internal systems to facilitate an efficient and effective work environment.
  5. User Experience: Enhance the user experience by creating intuitive and accessible documentation that meets the needs of diverse audiences. Perform usability testing and use analytics and feedback to improve documentation and standards.
  6. Quality Assurance: Review and revise documentation for accuracy, clarity, and completeness, ensuring that it meets organizational standards.
  7. Project Management: Create and maintain project plans and manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines.
  8. Tools and Technology: Utilize various tools and technologies to produce and publish documentation, staying up to date with industry trends and best practices.
  9. Other related duties assigned as appropriate.

What You Bring

  1. 5-7 years of technical writing experience; this experience optimally includes both large enterprise software organizations and startup companies.
  2. Proficient at documenting complex and highly technical software applications, preferably for global financial firms, payment processors, or fintech companies.
  3. Skilled at writing instructional documentation including UI microcopy, implementation guides, user manuals, help articles, and developer documentation.
  4. Candidates must have an online portfolio with examples that demonstrate this experience. Please include a link to your portfolio in your application materials.
  5. Competent with Agile practices (especially Scrumban and Extreme Programming), APIs and SDKs, command-line interfaces, Confluence, docs-as-code workflows, Document360, Git, GitHub, Jira, Microsoft applications, Postman, Visual Studio Code, and Zendesk.
  6. Ability to quickly adapt to shifting priorities and work effectively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
  7. Candidates must reside in the United States in either the Pacific or Mountain time zone and must be available for early morning and late evening calls with teams located overseas.
  8. This position does not offer sponsorship for H-1B visas or other work visas. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  9. Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
  10. Creative: You simplify the complex. Always looking forward to creating a bigger impact for our colleagues and customers.
  11. Curious: You ask the right questions, listening and learning to get better every day.
