Under close supervision, assists the Program Services Manager and the Technical Writer in writing technical manuals, agreements, and documents for assigned department(s). Assists in the technical and promotional communication of ANTHC and DEHE programs, operations, and services.
Under the Manager’s direction and discretion to draft, edit, format and develop word processing templates and forms for technical manuals, agreements, correspondence, special review documentation, contract specifications, policies and procedures and interagency agreements. Creates new technical documents and revises existing documents under close supervision of a Manager.
Writes and revises technical documents, assuring content consistency and accurate linkage to operations. Trains with Manager and Technical Writer to create, edit, and format technical documents. Collaborates with technical writing team, department staff, and other agencies to develop content materials.
Travels to off-site locations as required. Interviews subject-matter experts and documents relevant information. Under the supervision and training by the Manager, creates, edits, and prints photographs. Conducts research of technical data. Develops and updates data systems for tracking the technical document completion process.
Assists with division wide public relations efforts, including presentations, art work and article submissions. Manages special projects as required. Compiles and analyzes data. Prepares special and recurring reports.
Aims to focus on professional development in the areas of writing, editing, and graphic design.
Performs other duties as assigned or required.
An Associate’s Degree. Progressively responsible professional/exempt work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for college education.
Non-Supervisory-Two (2) years experience in document preparation or technical writing. An equivalent combination of relevant education and/or training may be substituted for experience.
May be required to work outside the traditional work schedule.
