Job summary

Integrity Management Services, Inc. is seeking a Technical Writer to produce clear, concise documentation for data warehouse and reporting processes. The role requires collaboration with SMEs, analysts, and developers to capture requirements, map processes, and document metadata and data lineage.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of writing experience, a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, and proficiency with Word, Visio, Jira and Confluence. Remote work within the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Gather business requirements for existing data warehouse processes and applications in production by interviewing tech/SMEs.
  • Schedule walkthroughs and business reviews to validate requirements.
  • Identify and document metadata usage and data lineage.
  • Map business processes using Visio and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Guide less experienced team members within their assigned applications.
  • Provide outstanding service to all customers.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and document findings to drive defect resolution.
  • Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards.

Description:
  • Gather business requirements for existing data warehouse process and applications in production interviewing tech/SMEs.
  • Schedule walkthrough and business review to validate requirements.
  • Identify and validate and document metadata usage and data lineage.
  • Map business process flows using Visio anticipates in research and recommends appropriate solutions.
  • Exercises judgment, guides and advises less experienced team members as appropriate within their assigned applications
  • Provide outstanding service to all customers.
  • Leverages business knowledge & principals with technical knowledge of applications, conducts root cause analysis
  • Documents findings to drive defect resolution.
  • Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements;
  • Create and maintain the information architecture based on requirements of this SOW and additional clarification received from COR;
  • Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience;
  • Ensure quality of all reports and deliverables under this contract.
Work Experience:

Four or more years of professional experience. The Technical Writer shall have proven excellent written and oral communications skills with the ability to produce clear, concise documentation. In addition, the Technical Writer shall have strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team environment.

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Technical Writing, Computer Science, Information Technology).
  • Proven experience as a technical writer or similar role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Visio, Jira, Confluence, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with the SDLC and healthcare industry, particularly Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Experience with data warehousing and metadata management.
  • Knowledge of Medicare and/or Medicaid fraud, waste and abuse or program integrity work.

U.S. remote annual salary range: $55,000-$85,000/annual

For candidates in jurisdictions requiring range disclosure, this is the good-faith range for this role; final pay may vary by work location and job-related factors such as skills, experience, location, and internal equity. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
