Flatter, Inc. is hiring a Technical Writer to support the CBP Office of Finance from our Washington, DC office. The role focuses on financial policy updates, reviewing conference package submissions, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards.

You will translate complex federal finance concepts into clear policy language, coordinate policy review meetings with senior leadership and stakeholders, and help prepare briefing materials and executive summaries for leadership decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong technical writing skills with experience developing policy documentation.
• Federal financial management, operations, compliance, or policy experience.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate reviews with senior leadership.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CBP Public Trust prior to onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze federal laws, regulations, and CBP policies to identify impacts and update financial policy.
• Support updates to financial management policy documents and guidance.
• Translate complex financial and operational concepts into clear policy language.
• Coordinate policy review meetings with stakeholders and leadership, including scheduling and tracking actions.
• Develop briefing materials, executive summaries, and presentations for leadership decision-making.
• Review conference package submissions for accuracy and compliance.
• Assess materials and coordinate necessary corrections or clarifications.
