Job summary

Akima Data Management (ADM) seeks a Technical Writer/ Editor LV III to develop and maintain policy materials and convey messages from Washington, DC. The role requires writing, editing, and coordinating internal communications across intranet, newsletters, emails, webcasts, and presentations.

The ideal candidate will have a DoD Secret clearance and 3+ years of policy-writing experience for government agencies, with DIARMF familiarity. On-site work with competitive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

  • Active DoD Secret clearance is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred; 3 years relevant experience, or 6 years documented experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in writing policy for a government agency.
  • Minimum of 3 years of policy experience with IT, Engineering, or FRCS policy environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Policy Development and Strategic Plans.
  • Demonstrate 3 years of supporting DoD Information Assurance Risk Management Framework (DIARMF).
  • Document 3 years of experience communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical coworkers.
  • Demonstrate 3 years developing and documenting processes and procedures.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience Policy Development and Strategic Plans.
  • Demonstrate 3 years of supporting DoD Information Assurance Risk Management Framework (DIARMF).
  • Document 3 years of experience regarding the ability to communicate technical information to other technical team members but also to coworkers in other departments who may not have knowledge of networking technical terminology.
  • Demonstrate 3 years of experience with developing and documenting processes and procedures for the day-to-day operations.
