- Location: 100% Remote (Candidates in U.S.A ONLY)
- Job Type: Contract - 3 to 4 months with possibility of extension
- Pay Rate: $40/hr on W2/Danta Technologies Payroll
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer with a strong foundation in cryptography and an interest in post-quantum cryptographic protocols. You will collaborate with security researchers and engineers to translate complex research into accessible documentation and white papers, influencing the industry’s understanding of next-generation cryptographic standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct technical research on cryptographic protocols, especially Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC).
- Write and edit technical documentation, research papers, and white papers on PQC, SSL/TLS, authentication protocols, and security best practices.
- Collaborate with researchers, developers, and security experts to clarify complex technical concepts.
- Monitor developments in quantum computing and cryptographic standards (e.g., NIST PQC competition).
- Translate technical jargon into user-friendly language for diverse audiences.
- Ensure documentation adheres to style guides and maintains accuracy.
- Stay updated on trends and technologies in cryptography, TLS/SSL, key exchange, digital signatures, and authentication mechanisms.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in technical writing, especially in cryptography or cybersecurity.
- Solid understanding of cryptographic principles, including encryption, TLS/SSL, PKI, and authentication protocols.
- Familiarity with Post-Quantum Cryptography and emerging standards.
- Proven ability to produce white papers, research summaries, and technical documentation.
- Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with open-source cryptographic libraries or standards documentation.
- Understanding of NIST PQC competition and candidate algorithms.
