Job summary

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is recruiting a Technical Writer for a 12-month contract near Richland, WA. The role supports Hanford Waste Treatment Plant with a base hourly rate of $48.50 and overtime at 1.5x. U.S. citizenship is required.

The candidate will plan, write, edit, and coordinate production of technical documents and presentations, ensuring accuracy and conformance to style guides. Collaboration with SMEs and staff is expected to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) required.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience or 6–9 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency with document formatting/editing/production software and ECMS.

Responsibilities

• Plans, writes, edits, proofreads, and coordinates the production of simple to moderately complex technical documents and presentations.
• Plans format of documents, organizes content, writes/edits text, and provides instructions for final reproduction.
• May collaborate with authors, subject matter experts, and publications staff.
• Reviews document requirements with customers and ensures timely completion.
• May coordinate document formatting, form development, and graphic design.
