Job summary

The Red Gate Group is seeking a Technical Writer and Deliverables Lead to support a Department of Defense intelligence customer. You will own the recurring contract deliverable cadence for a newly established joint program office, producing and maintaining monthly and quarterly artifacts and transitioning plans.

You will develop RMF documentation in accordance with DoD RMF guidance and NIST SP 800-37, including system security plans and authorization packages, while translating complex concepts

• 5+ years of technical writing or IT project support experience, including recent within the last 2 years.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or Associate's with 2 additional years, or 4 additional years of relevant experience.

The Red Gate Group is seeking a Technical Writer and Deliverables Lead to support a Department of Defense intelligence customer, producing clear documentation that meets both technical accuracy and regulatory compliance standards while owning the recurring contract deliverable cadence for a newly established joint program office. You will produce and maintain recurring program deliverables, including monthly activity reports, quarterly business review briefs, transition plans, and project plans. You will develop Risk Management Framework documentation in accordance with NIST SP 800-37 and DoD RMF guidance, including system security plans, security assessment reports, and authorization packages that support the Authority to Operate process. You will also translate complex technical concepts into accessible documentation for diverse audiences and support broader status reporting and project management artifact production.

You Have

• 5+ years of technical writing or IT project support experience, including recent experience within the last 2 years. This experience requirement is firm and cannot be met through education or certifications.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or one of the following in its place: an Associate's degree in a related field and 2 additional years of relevant experience, or 4 additional years of relevant experience. The additional years used in place of the degree are on top of the 5 year experience requirement above, not counted within it.

In plain terms: with a Bachelor's you need 5 years, with an Associate's 7, and with no degree 9.

• Demonstrated experience producing RMF documentation supporting the Authority to Operate process
• Active TS/SCI clearance with a current CI polygraph
