If you're a former engineer turned writer, a product-savvy communicator, or a freelancer who’s worked with startups, SaaS platforms, or enterprise software, this role offers the perfect blend of technical depth and editorial freedom. Your responsibilities may include:

1. Creating and maintaining technical documentation such as user guides, API docs, developer resources, SOPs, and product manuals
2. Collaborating with product managers, engineers, and subject matter experts to gather accurate and up-to-date information
3. Writing clear, concise, and user-friendly content tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences
4. Contributing to internal knowledge bases, onboarding guides, or policy documentation
5. Ensuring consistency in voice, style, and formatting across all deliverables
6. Managing documentation workflows using tools like Confluence, Git, Notion, Markdown, or ReadMe
7. Adapting and updating content in response to new product features, software releases, or internal process changes
8. Auditing and optimizing existing documentation for accuracy and usability

Required qualities may include:

1. Proven experience in technical writing, documentation, or product content
2. Proficiency with tools like GitHub, Confluence, Markdown, Notion, or API documentation platforms
3. Ability to quickly understand technical systems, software products, or workflows
4. Experience working with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, support, etc.)
5. Strong command of grammar, structure, and documentation standards
6. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects across clients
7. Experience working independently or in a fractional/freelance capacity
8. Bonus if you have a background in engineering, UX writing, or developer education
