Job summary

VT Group (VTG) is seeking a Technical Writer to support our customer in the United States. The role involves developing, writing and editing manuals, reports and training materials, and coordinating documentation across teams.

You will collect information, edit specifications and oversee QA to ensure compliance, while maintaining a comprehensive document database. The position requires a Secret clearance and willingness to travel 75% or more.

VTG is seeking a Technical Writer to support our customer.

What will you do?

• Develops, writes and edits material for reports, manuals, briefs, instructions books, catalogs and related technical and administrative publications.
• Assists in collecting and organizing information required for preparation of user's manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports.
• Edits functional descriptions, system specifications, user's manuals, special reports, or any other customer deliverables and documents.
• Manages, maintains, and distributes documents for the business.
• Writes, reviews, and proofreads prepared documentation specifications to ensure they meet specified requirements.
• Monitors and reviews received documentation for potential compliance issues and quality assurance.
• Interacts with clients and vendors to gauge appropriate documentation requests and track the progress of submittals.
• Administers a database of documentation and detailed timelines and logs of documentation requests

Do you have what it takes?

• Must have a BA/BS with at least 3 years of experience.
• Must have and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Eligible for a Top Secret.
• Willing to travel 75% or more

VTG's estimated starting pay range is $62,479-$114,126 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
