About the Role:
We are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Technical Writer / L&D Specialist to join our team. While the job title may differ officially, this position centers on technical documentation, content validation, and learning support. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, technical curiosity, and a collaborative spirit to work effectively in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, edit, and maintain technical documentation, including internal manuals and user-facing guides for the Member Portal, Provider Portal, and Client Portal
- Work closely with SMEs and cross-functional teams to gather information and validate content for accuracy and completeness
- Create and organize visual aids such as screenshots and diagrams to enhance clarity of documentation
- Update existing documents by comparing content, identifying inconsistencies, and making necessary revisions
- Ensure all content meets high standards for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and tone
- Navigate ambiguous information and proactively seek answers through research or stakeholder collaboration
- Support training initiatives by producing or refining content for L&D purposes when needed
- Maintain version control and ensure documentation aligns with current processes, systems, and tools
- Be agile and ready to pivot quickly as priorities shift in a dynamic environment
Ideal Qualifications:
- 3+ years of technical writing experience, preferably in healthcare, dental, or insurance environments
- Experience with technical documents such as user manuals, process guides, SOPs, and portal documentation
- Familiarity with MS Office tools, especially MS Word, Adobe Acrobat/PDF tools, and document formatting standards
- Strong command of the English language with exceptional grammar and attention to detail
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and navigate uncertain or incomplete information
- Strong interpersonal skills; comfortable collaborating with personable, supportive teams
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality output
- Writing samples or documentation portfolio preferred
