What You Will Do:
- Develop, edit, and maintain clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation, including user guides, process documentation, and supporting materials.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, program teams, and stakeholders to gather information and translate complex technical concepts into audience-appropriate content.
- Research, organize, and verify technical information to ensure documentation is complete, current, and compliant with organizational standards.
- Create and update content for internal and external audiences using established templates, style guides, and documentation processes.
- Review documentation for accuracy, consistency, grammar, formatting, and usability before publication.
- Manage multiple documentation assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
What You Will Need:
- An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance.
- Bachelor's Degree; FOUR (4) years of additional professional experience in lieu of a Bachelor's.
- Minimum ONE (1) year of experience writing, editing, and maintaining technical documentation or related content.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
- Experience supporting defense, security, public safety, or government-related documentation efforts.
- Familiarity with technical writing standards, content management systems, and document control processes.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Knowledge of accessibility, plain language, or user-centered documentation practices.
- Experience with graphics, diagrams, or other visual content to support technical materials.
- Proficiency with common documentation tools and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and proofreading skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
