Job summary

Nightwing is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for the unified AMS/FIPE solution. You will create user guides, installation and integration guides, and release notes, ensuring content is accessible to users with varying technical knowledge levels.

Collaboration with developers, SMEs, and users is essential. The role requires 10+ years of technical writing experience, a relevant degree, proficiency with Confluence/Markdown, and TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of technical writing experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, or related field (or equivalent).
• Experience documenting complex software systems.
• Proficiency with documentation tools (Confluence, Markdown, etc.).
• Strong understanding of software development processes.
• Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Experience writing documentation in classified environments.
• Knowledge of style guides and documentation standards.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Must be U.S. citizen.

This position creates documentation tailored for users with varying technical knowledge levels, ensuring operators can effectively utilize system capabilities. The writer works closely with development teams, SMEs, and users to produce accurate, accessible documentation.

Salary & Benefits

The salary associated with this position ($99,000-$206,000) is commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise. Compensation will be determined based on these factors to ensure alignment with skills, responsibilities, and market standards.
