Job summary

Curtiss-Wright is seeking a Technical Writer in East Farmingdale, NY, to develop, maintain, and revise documentation for products and programs. You will interface with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program management to ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 3+ years of technical writing experience, with proficiency in MS Office and strong editing and communication skills.

  • Minimum three years experience creating technical documentation.
  • Strong understanding of technical writing principles and documentation lifecycle management.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Editing, proofreading, and maintaining tone, accuracy, and consistency across deliverables.

Technical Writer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Writer to join our team! As a Technical Writer for Peerless Instrument, you will perform various tasks to develop, maintain, and revise technical documentation for company products, systems, and programs. This role creates technical publications and interfaces with engineering, manufacturing, quality, program management, and other subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction. You will maintain configuration control of documents and procedures and perform word processing and formatting to organizational, and customer established standards and requirements.


Location: East Farmingdale, NY
Target Salary Range: $65,000 to $80,000 per year

Your Challenge
