We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced technical writer, who is a relentless problem solver with a knack for the English language. We need a skilled writer who can support our Network Products department and other teams with top-notch technical documentation.

The ideal candidate will have experience:

1. Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing content, working closely with departments and stakeholders to understand goals and requirements.
2. Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, draft, and edit guides, software release notes, and other documentation supporting network product releases.
3. Write and edit user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience, maintaining consistency, clarity, and adherence to company standards and industry best practices.
4. Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development and maintenance of documentation best practices.
5. Ensure proper version control and maintain templates that uphold organizational and legal standards, allowing for easy data migration.
6. Attend meetings and provide updates as needed. Must be able to be present at the assigned worksite during designated times.
7. Assist other departments with technical documentation requests.
8. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Technical Writing, English, Journalism, Engineering), or 3+ years experience as a Technical Writer/Content Editor.
2. Expert knowledge and high proficiency with MS Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
3. Expert level knowledge of Adobe Acrobat.
4. Familiarity with style guides and ability to adhere to The Chicago Manual of Style and the Microsoft Writing Style Guide.
5. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information, per government standards.
6. Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with peers and supervisors.
7. Self-motivated with good organizational skills.
8. Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience

1. Experience with workflows and tooling used by engineering, operations, and product teams.
2. Experience working in knowledge management tools (SharePoint, Confluence, MS Teams).
3. Familiarity with structured authoring concepts and tools.
