Technical Vendor / Project Manager

Job Summary: Talent Software Services is seeking a Technical Vendor / Project Manager for a 7-month remote contract position, with a strong possibility of extension.

Position Summary: As a Vendor Manager, you will lead, build relationships, advocate for clients, and collaborate. You should understand Device as a Service (DaaS), service delivery, cloud software, and related tools and processes. You thrive in environments that combine creativity and productivity, leading and creating solutions, and effectively communicating and mentoring teams.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
  1. Strategy & Communication (40%)
  • Maintain Service Management and Service Delivery best practices.
  • Contribute to technology strategy, researching emerging vendors and technologies to recommend process and technology improvements.
  • Lead vendor reviews of invoices and service metrics.
  • Identify and resolve service efficiencies to optimize costs and services.
  • Design & Implementation (40%)
    • Build solutions following Service Delivery and Management best practices.
    • Manage daily operations and plan strategic improvements.
    • Develop skills for working within an agile, poly-skilled environment.
    • Be a subject matter expert in DaaS, Service Delivery, and Service Management.
    • Develop or modify processes to automate and optimize DaaS services.
    • Collaborate on transformation processes with cross-department dependencies.
    • Partner with domain SMEs to support DaaS features and capabilities.
    • Align services with business objectives and vendor offerings.
    • Contribute to Vendor Management Program growth.
    • Manage service requests and supplies, including end-user tech refreshes.
  • Team Management (20%)
    • Lead Service Delivery/Management processes and mentor staff.
    • Ensure invoice accuracy, SLA/SLO adherence, and penalty enforcement.
    • Seek process improvements for efficiency and ROI.
    • Build partnerships with vendors and leadership.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related field preferred.
    • Certifications in ITIL, Service Design/Management, etc.
    • Experience in process design, IT Asset Management, Service Design, and Management.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional work.
    • Ability to present ideas clearly to business and technical audiences.
    • Proven ability to develop and maintain customer relationships.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Technical knowledge of Cloud Computing and DevOps.
    • Ability to research emerging technologies and trends.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks in high-pressure environments.
    • Willingness to work off-shifts as needed.
