Job description

THE ROLE:

We are seeking a skilled Japanese-English Translator to accurately interpret written and audio pieces in Japanese and English languages while preserving their original meaning, format, and tone.

As a Translator, your responsibilities will include carefully reading and comprehending the context of the given material, utilizing specialized dictionaries and translation tools, and meticulously proofreading the final translations. Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail and fluency in Japanese and English languages.

Your primary objective will be to deliver high-quality translated content that aligns with our internal requirements and enables us to effectively engage a broader audience.

Responsibilities

1. Interpretation of internal/external meetings
2. Support for office management tasks such as facilitating meetings and making travel arrangements for the team
3. Translation of internal/external training materials (from English to Japanese)
4. Translation of internal policies/guidance materials (from English to Japanese)
5. Operation of Salesforce automation system, including leads upload and account creation, with translation from Japanese to English
6. Support for marketing activity logistics, such as event registration and webinar execution
7. Participate in meetings with APAC/US marketing team members and operations team members

Requirements and Skills

• Proven experience as a Translator, Interpreter, or similar role
• Fluency in English and Japanese
• Excellent proofreading skills to identify grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors
• Strong time-management skills
• Proficiency with Excel functions and macros
• TOEIC score of 800 or higher
• Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint
• Experience supporting Salesforce automation systems
• Experience working with IT foreign (affiliated) companies
• Experience with marketing in IT companies
• BSc in Translation, Interpreting, or a related field
