Job summary

ASM, a leader in semiconductor technology, seeks a Specialist II, Technical Training in Phoenix to prepare engineers and technicians to safely, confidently, and effectively support ASM equipment in the field.

You will deliver engaging classroom and hands-on training, coach engineers at varying levels, and help develop and maintain training materials, labs, and content while collaborating with business units and product experts to keep content current.

Qualifications

• Technical degree, military technical training, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• 3+ years hands‑on experience with complex technical equipment or systems.
• Day shift schedule (7AM–7PM) on alternating compressed work week (36 hr & 48 hr).
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to safe work practices.
• Ability to follow, validate, and improve procedures.
• Proficiency with MS Office including Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging classroom and hands‑on technical training on ASM equipment and systems.
• Create a positive learning environment that promotes technical growth, confidence, and safety.
• Coach and mentor engineers and technicians at varying levels of experience.
• Support the development and continuous improvement of training materials, labs, and learning content.
• Update training programs to reflect new technologies and equipment upgrades.
• Troubleshoot and maintain training systems to ensure readiness for instruction.
• Collaborate with Business Units, engineering teams and product experts to keep content current.
• Evaluate learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
