Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions in Sparks, NV seeks a Training Instructor to design and deliver technical instruction for newly hired team members, apprentices, and incumbent staff. You will coordinate the MEI Apprenticeship Training Program and oversee related initiatives including mentorship and on-the-job training.

You will collaborate with management to identify training needs, develop materials, maintain records, and assess progress to improve program effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in intermediate level rigging, machinery moving, construction rigging, or a similar role.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and CDL training programs and requirements.
• Experience delivering training programs and curriculums, including short-duration and long-duration learning.
• Proficient with MS Office, Windows OS, and keeping current materials and records for training.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; comfortable with in-person instruction delivered to groups.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the apprenticeship training initiative; pair mentors with mentees and track activities.
• Oversee training projects and initiatives for regional office needs; monitor programs for effectiveness.
• Oversee skill development training for legacy and incumbent employees and evaluate candidates.
• Perform gap analyses to aid in determining development paths and training needs.
• Create and deliver training materials and presentations; supervise field training and development.
