Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Technical Trainer to serve as a liaison among external stakeholders and internal development/training teams. You will work closely with engineering teams to maintain compliance, strengthen system defenses, and advance mission assurance on a dynamic, agile program.

You will lead hands-on training, develop operating procedures, and coordinate exercises with operator and program stakeholders to ensure mission success and readiness for space communications infrastructure

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM field with relevant experience as listed (12y with BS/BA, 10y with MS/MA, 7y with PhD).
• Two years orbital analysis and space operations experience.
• Experience communicating with all levels of leadership.
• Minimum Top Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI and maintaining clearance.
• Experience developing cloud, engineering or technical admin course work including certification material.
• Experience directly training teams with hands-on technical workshops.
• Strong written and oral communication skills for trainers and learners.
• Detail- and process-oriented with the ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter and program expertise to operator stakeholders and support operating procedures and training at work locations.
• Offer operator perspectives to development and training teams to ensure operator needs are understood.
• Support exercises involving use of Program tools, coordinating among operator, support, and development teams to meet exercise goals.

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D. Additional four relevant years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Two (2) years Orbital Analysis and space operations experience
• Must have experience in communicating with all levels of leadership
• This position requires the candidatepossessa minimum ofTop Secretclearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI The candidate mustmaintainthe clearance.
• Experience developing cloud, engineering or technical administrative course work to include certification material.
• Experience directly training teams with hands‑on technical workshops that are applicable to the environments they work in.
• Strong communication and organizational skills in leading a team and coordination with program leadership
• You can express yourself confidently, concisely, and accurately through written and oral communications from both an academic learner and trainer’s perspective.
• You are detail/process oriented, can multi-task, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

What you’ll do:

• Provides subject matter and Program expertisein support of the operator stakeholders at their work locations to answer questions,assistwith development of operating procedures, and provideproficiencyand on-the-job training.
• Provides operator perspectives and SME to other areas of the project including the development and training teams to ensure that operator and operational needs are understood.
• Provides support for exercises involving the use of Program by supporting operator use of Program tools during the exercise and coordination and troubleshooting as needed among all stakeholders including operator, operational support, and development teams to achieve the exercise goals.
