Job summary

Charles River Laboratories is seeking a Technical Trainer I to provide hands-on training in laboratory techniques and data collection with emphasis on animal studies. This role offers guidance to staff, coordinates onboarding, and ensures training aligns with GLP, SOPs, BOPs, and IACUC rules.

You will support study work, develop procedures, and help implement new training methods, while maintaining documentation and ensuring safety and compliance across the site.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate at all levels.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities to achieve goals.
• Capability to learn and use validated systems and SOPs.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and technical guidance in the laboratory.
• Coordinate and schedule new hire orientation and on-the-job training.
• Ensure training meets quality and regulatory requirements (GLP, SOP, BOP, IACUC).
• Maintain and update training documents and databases.
• Develop, revise, and implement new technical procedures.
• Familiarize with AALAS and related certifications.
