Your role at Baxter

As the Technical Trainer for Nurse Call Systems, you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality technical training to both external hospital‑based teams and internal operational teams. You will serve as a subject matter expert on nurse call system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, ensuring consistent technical competency across Clinical Engineering, Biomedical teams, installers, and internal staff. You will also own the development, governance, and quality of training materials, documentation, and HIBs, playing a key role in elevating standards, improving field readiness, and supporting continuous improvement across the organization. This is an onsite position in Raleigh, North Carolina with domestic travel required ~75% of the time.

What you’ll be doing
  • Deliver technical training to Clinical Engineering and Biomedical teams on nurse call system maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational best practices.
  • Train nurse call installers on installation standards, configuration requirements, and field troubleshooting procedures.
  • Adapt training delivery across classroom, hands‑on, and virtual formats to meet varying skill levels and learning styles.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for nurse call system workflows and field‑level technical issue resolution.
  • Develop and deliver onboarding and ongoing technical training for internal roles including Project Managers, Clinical Specialists, Implementation Engineers, Technical Support, and Field Service Technicians.
  • Ensure internal teams remain aligned with current product capabilities, standards, and best practices through consistent and structured training programs.
  • Create, maintain, and improve training materials, documentation, job aids, and technical guides to support both internal and external learners.
  • Maintain accountability for HIBs and ensure all training content meets quality, consistency, and operational standards.
What you’ll bring
  • Experience delivering technical training, ideally within healthcare technology, nurse call systems, or related clinical systems.
  • Strong understanding of hardware and software troubleshooting in hospital or clinical environments.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams in field service, implementation, engineering, or clinical operations.
  • Excellent presentation, organizational, and documentation skills with a focus on clarity and consistency.
  • Willingness to travel up to 80% to support hospital‑based training and internal onboarding needs.
  • Background in Clinical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical discipline (preferred).
  • Familiarity with nurse call systems, life safety systems, or clinical communication platforms, along with experience developing structured training programs (preferred).
