Job summary

Qualifications

  • Computer skills: word processing, spreadsheets, email, calendars.
  • Basic understanding of documentation systems.
  • Knowledge of standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide variety of research and development laboratory tasks and experiments.
  • Run test procedures, limited troubleshooting, and document test results.
  • Review test procedures and modify as needed.
  • Set up equipment and supplies as required by procedures or R&D project.
  • Follow lab procedures for records, test variables, calibration and documentation practices.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies.
  • Collaborate with engineers to collect data for non-formal testing.
  • Assist in compiling observations, analyzing data and interpreting results.
  • May write experimental reports, summaries, and protocols.
  • Perform simple troubleshooting and calibration of instruments.

Your Role at Baxter

As the Sr Technician you will work on assignments that are complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations. May determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may provide guidance to other nonexempt personnel. Apply basic and some advanced techniques and procedures to a diversity of assigned projects including both sustaining of Medical Products and New Product Development Initiatives.

What you\'ll be doing:
  • Responsible for performing a wide variety of research and/or development laboratory tasks and experiments.
  • Responsible for running test procedures, limited troubleshooting, and documenting systems test results.
  • Responsible for review of test procedures and correct/modify as needed.
  • Responsible for the adequate set-up of equipment and supplies as required by the associated procedures or R&D project.
  • Responsible to follow laboratory procedures for methods associated with control of records, test variables, equipment calibration and documentation practices.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies.
  • Responsible to work with engineers, for collection of data and information related to non-formal testing or evaluation practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Assist in compiling observations, analyzing data and interpreting results.
  • May write experimental reports, summaries and protocols
  • Perform simple troubleshooting and calibration of instruments
What you\'ll bring:
  • High School diploma or equivalent, AA Degree preferred, 2+ years\’ experience in related field.
  • Proficient use of laboratory equipment and tools
  • Familiarity with GMP/GLP desired
  • Proficient in recording original data
  • Basic science and math skills.
  • Ability to use computer for word processing, spreadsheets, document retrieval, e-mail, business calendars.
  • Basic understanding of documentation systems.

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with a fast pace, changing priorities and deadlines.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $60,000-$82,500 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
