Job summary

Avangrid is seeking an experienced Training Specialist to conduct evaluations, update training programs, and develop complex training materials. You may serve as a lead trainer and coordinate internal communications in response to organizational needs.

Based in Augusta, ME, this office-based role reports to the Supervisor, Technical Training. A Bachelor’s degree in instructional design or related field is required, with at least 3+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in training or instructional design.
• Bachelor’s degree in instructional design or related area.
• Equivalent experience and education accepted in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Administrates, organizes, and conducts training programs for corporate initiatives impacting CRC/customer service.
• Evaluates program effectiveness, reviews reports, and ensures customer satisfaction.
• Updates routine and standardized training programs to align with business needs.
• Maintains records of training activities and tracks employee progress.

The salary range for this position is based on experience level ranging from $86,500 to $109,500,000 plus up to 16% bonus

Job Summary

Conducts ongoing evaluations to ensure effectiveness of training programs and recommends modifications as necessary. Updates and conducts as necessary, routine and standardized training programs. Develops and conducts complex training programs and associated internal communications in response to organizational needs. May serve as a lead trainer to junior staff. Conducts quality monitoring of customer representatives. Maintains records of training activities and employee progress and monitors effectiveness of programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Administers, organizes, and conducts training and educational programs in connection with corporate and customer services initiatives that impact the CRC and/or regional customer service. May develop internal communications for customer service explaining policies and procedures and business initiatives.


• Conducts ongoing evaluations to ensure effectiveness of programs and recommends modifications as necessary. Reviews system generated reports to assure customer satisfaction and ensure adherence to customer service business practices.


• Updates routine and standardized training programs.


• May maintains records of training activities and employee progress and monitors effectiveness of programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum years of experience: 3+ years of experience


• Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, or other relevant area of study


• Equivalent experience and education

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of customer information and ancillary systems, customer service policy and procedures.


• Experience working in a formal management system.
