Job summary

Contech Systems Inc. seeks a seasoned Business Systems Analyst to join our API Development Team in Newark, NJ. The role focuses on translating business requirements into functional specs and Swagger documents for new and enhanced APIs.

You will work on AWS-hosted services with real-time transaction integrations, applying healthcare data domain knowledge and collaborating with architects, developers, and QA to ensure robust API quality and production support.

Qualifications

Business Systems Analysis

Duration: 6 mos (+) contract to hire

Location: Newark, NJ (Hybrid - 2 consecutive days onsite per month)

Summary: Our client is looking for a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst to work on an API Development Team and write Technical Requirements/Functional Specs and Swagger Documents for new and enhanced APIs. Candidate will be responsible for understanding the business requirements and converting them into functional/technical specs, including Swagger/JSON Interface Specs, for the development of APIs/Web Services that will run on Amazon’s AWS cloud. This role will be as part of a vibrant, high-energy development team.

Requirements

• Hands-on understanding of the healthcare and health insurance industry (i.e. data domains such as Claims data, Provider data, Benefits Data, Membership/Enrollment/Coverage Data)
• Experience in integration projects on a Real-time transaction development team
• Data Analysis skills
• Comfortable querying data in NoSQL and Relational databases.
• Strong Communication Skills - at a technical level with the development team, and with project managers and managers/directors
• Responsible for being the technical SME of the APIs as they are developed by the development team through both an Agile and waterfall development processes - thorough requirements, development, test, and production
• Ability to interface with the Software Quality Assurance SQA team to sign off on the test plan and test cases of the API, and then be able to support the new API as it goes through SQA, and UAT testing.
• Ability to support the API in production

Experience

• 7+ years of experience total in IT
• At least 2years of hands-on Javadevelopment
