Spring Systems in Valley Stream, NY is seeking a customer service specialist who will coordinate printing and transaction processing with vendors. This role serves as the primary contact for EDI-related tasks, with training provided as needed.

Qualified candidates should have solid Excel experience, comfort with technology, and a strong eye for detail. The position is full-time (9–6) with room to grow for high performers and opportunities to advance within the company.

• Assign new UPC codes and load to online catalogs.
• Execute reports to match sent transactions with appropriate acknowledgements.
• Maintain trading partner address tables in Excel and SQL database.
• Monitor and respond to email requests and alerts.
• Answer phones.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a customer service role, involving communication with vendors via phone and email. The person in this role will be our point person for printing and transaction processing. All transactions will be EDI related, but prior EDI experience is not mandatory - you will be trained on EDI and our system if needed.

Candidates should have moderate Excel experience, familiarity with the basics of technology, and be detail oriented. You should be a self starter, willing to take on new projects as needed. This role is limited to start, but there is room for growth if you excel.

STARTING RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

• Customer Service.
• Prepare, run, and ship client print jobs (shipping labels, packing slips and other shipping documents)
• Support client requests for transaction processing (data entry & configuration of shipping, invoicing transactions).

MANDATORY SKILLS

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES COULD EXPAND TO INCLUDE

• Support & maintain existing Excel, Word, & GSuite macros. Develop new macros as needed.
• Create new reports.
• EDI trading partner setup.
• EDI data analysis and mapping.

HELPFUL SKILLS

• Customer service experience.
• Excel, programming, or other analytical experience.
• Previous EDI or shipping experience is a plus.
