ABOUT
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technical Support Specialist to deliver top-tier service for a complete portfolio of laboratory instruments, consumables, and software solutions. This role will support pre- and post-sales activities to ensure outstanding customer satisfaction within a defined territory.

ROLES, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain expert-level product knowledge to assist internal teams and external clients.
- Perform validation of new instrument installations to ensure timely activation and customer readiness.
- Execute reagent lot transfers in accordance with contractual requirements, both on-site and remotely.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot instrument, reagent, and software issues following established escalation procedures.
- Support sales initiatives through live demonstrations, training sessions, and technical presentations.
- Use standardized marketing materials for product and competitor comparisons, coordinating custom requests through the Technical Services Manager.
- Manage ongoing customer relationships and coordinate handoffs when assistance is required outside the primary territory.
- Keep CRM entries current with all customer interactions, account updates, and equipment inventories.
- Provide customers with the latest procedural guidelines and standard operating procedures.
- Identify opportunities for expanded testing menus or equipment upgrades and relay leads to the sales team.
- Deliver telephone support for technical inquiries and special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in a related scientific discipline or equivalent experience.
- MT(ASCP) certification or comparable credential strongly preferred.
- Minimum of five years experience as a clinical laboratory technologist, with hands-on coagulation testing exposure.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel over 80%, including overnight and air travel. Travel requirements depend on employee's home location; central locations require less travel.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data, troubleshoot issues, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to understand detailed technical documentation, formulas, and scientific data.
- Compliance with customer-mandated COVID-19 vaccination requirements, unless legally exempt.
