Description

Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results-driven, and forward-thinking Technical Support Specialist to join our culture. You will support new security systems including Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion, Intercom, network devices, and ongoing service support. Responsibilities also include programming security platforms, database migration, data import/export, system customization, and physical installation of controllers and field devices. You will interact directly with the construction team on-site, provide instructions to subcontractors and device installers, demonstrate equipment, train customers, and assist with close-out documentation and continued support. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be part of a dynamic team that fosters growth alongside the company's growth.

What You’ll Do with “Our Training and Your Experience”

  • Participate in our Recruit Awesome People program to promote our colleague-first culture and refer top talent.
  • Respond to customer service, maintenance, emergency, and after-hours calls; diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and debug systems. Install projects as needed.
  • Follow all safety regulations, complete daily safety reports, and participate in safety discussions.
  • Program security applications, network devices, CCTV, and recording equipment.
  • Demonstrate equipment, commission new systems, analyze performance, and write routine programs.
  • Consult with supervisors on system issues, mentor junior team members, and work closely with project teams.
  • Advise on customer satisfaction, product performance, and installation standards.
  • Manage multiple projects, including programming, testing, training, and support.
  • Identify project risks, communicate, and help develop mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate with project managers, contribute to quality improvements, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain effective communication with team members and stay informed on company policies.
  • Perform other duties as required.

What You’ll Need

  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Advanced technical skills in electronic security systems.
  • Programming, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Organizational skills to handle multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, spreadsheets, and data management.
  • Experience with SQL, databases, and networking (advanced preferred).
  • Knowledge of physical security and door hardware, relay logic, and training abilities.

Requirements
