Job summary

SMARDT is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join the West region team. You will analyze remotely gathered data, diagnose issues, and occasionally visit customer sites to work directly with equipment and clients across the AMER/EMEA regions, with a focus on North America.

You will collaborate with engineering, controls, manufacturing, and quality teams to drive issue resolution and product improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience with oil-free chillers and magnetic bearing compressors.
• Education in industry; University, Trade, Business, Engineering, or equivalent years of experience (5 years).
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data remotely gathered from sites to diagnose issues.
• Occasionally deploy to sites to work with equipment and clients.
• Participate in RCA/8D teams and coordinate with suppliers on technical matters.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Controls, Manufacturing and Quality teams.
• Support continuous improvement of SMARDT products, including test rigs with Engineering/Prod development.
• Travel to sites as required to understand operational challenges and gather data.

We're Looking For a Technical Support Specialist

Work with the Technical Support Manager - West on matters that escape above the Commercial Business Unit (Service) level in your coverage area (AMER/EMEA), with an emphasis on the North America region and equipment sold in the United States.

What You’ll Do:

• Analyzing data remotely gathered from site to diagnose issues.
• Being deployed to site to work directly with equipment and parties related.
• Participating in RCA/8D team activities
• Working with Suppliers (technical matters)
• Working with Engineering, Controls, Manufacturing and Quality
• Participating in activities related to continuous improvement of Smardt products, this includes but is not limited to:
• Working with Engineering (Product Development, R&D, Production) on the test rig for in depth troubleshooting and development
• Mobilize to site as required to better understand operational challenges, gather data and interface with clients
• Arrange support from adjacent departments as needed
• Corrective and containment actions

What You’ll Bring:

Experience:

• Practical experience with oil free chillers and magnetic bearing compressors

Education/Certifications:

• Education in industry; University, Trade, Business, Engineering, or any other relevant discipline or equivalent years of experience (5 years)
