Job summary

Hygiena, headquartered in Camarillo, CA, seeks a Technical Support Specialist to join our team remotely in Brazil. You will serve as the point of contact for product technical issues across Latin America and train customers and distributors on Hygiena's portfolio.

You will partner with Territory Sales Managers to drive growth, analyze data to overcome obstacles, and collaborate with R&D, Marketing, and service teams to resolve challenges. English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2–6 years in a B2B sales or technical support role.
• Hands-on PCR and molecular systems experience; data analysis skills.
• English proficiency at an intermediate level or higher.

With rapid growth comes opportunity. We are looking for a Technical Support Specialist to join our team remotely in Brazil! This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the point of contact for all product technical issues across Latin America — troubleshooting and delivering timely remedial actions and solutions for Hygiena Sales teams, customers, and distributors.
• Train new customers, distributors, and technicians on the proper use of the Hygiena portfolio, optimizing support resources to maintain a satisfied customer base and drive profitable sales while managing an annual operating budget.
• Partner with Territory Sales Managers to develop and execute an annual accelerated business growth plan covering new product launches, new installations and applications, upgrades, and existing customer support.
• Pull and analyze data to overcome technical obstacles, win new business, and monitor competitors and food and beverage market trends — adjusting tactics and go-to-market strategy to gain market share.
• Collaborate with the Business Unit Manager, Technical Support Manager, Marketing, Tech Service, Applications, and R&D teams to resolve customer challenges; support, coach, and shadow fellow TSSs and TSMs as needed.
• Represent Hygiena in relevant industry associations as a speaker, panelist, poster author, or technical working group member, and manage your territory daily in the MS 365 CRM platform.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences (biology, microbiology, chemistry, food microbiology) or a related field, or equivalent education and work experience
• 2–6 years of experience in a B2B sales or technical support role
• Hands-on knowledge of and experience running PCR, Real-Time PCR, ribotyping, and molecular systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS 365 CRM, and WebEx or a similar web meeting application
• English proficiency at an intermediate level or higher

Preferred:

• MS or PhD in Food Science or Microbiology

Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability and aptitude to operate and maintain fine scientific instrumentation
• Ability to conduct detailed data analysis and troubleshoot each product platform
• Ability to develop design of experiments (DOE)
• Sound discretion and independent judgment
