Talanto is seeking a Technical Support Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in San Mateo, CA. You’ll work with cloud-managed IoT technology, helping enterprise clients troubleshoot and design systems from our HQ.

You will be part of a fast-paced team, tackling real-world challenges alongside full-time engineers. The role offers a strong learning path, hands-on duty, and exposure to cutting-edge hardware and software in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Open to third or fourth-year students pursuing a Bachelor's in a related technical field.
• Coursework includes computer networking, Linux, and computer systems.
• Strong problem solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on troubleshooting of complex network, hardware, and software issues on the platform.
• Be the go-to expert for smart system design and integration advice for customers.
• Translate technical concepts clearly in calls, live chat, and emails.
• Own customer issues end-to-end from problem to resolution.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to test gear and find bugs.
• Create Knowledge Base content to help thousands of users.

About the Role

As a Technical Support Engineering Intern, you won't be grabbing coffee or shadowing others. Our interns are at the forefront of our team, tackling real-world challenges alongside our full-time engineers. Based at our San Mateo HQ, you'll work with cutting-edge, cloud-managed IoT technology, helping our enterprise clients with everything from troubleshooting to system design.

What You'll Do

• Hands-on Troubleshooting:Dive into complex network, hardware, and software problems on ••••••• 's platform
• Level Up Fast: Become the go-to expert customers trust for smart system design and integration advice
• Communicate with Impact: Translate heavy technical concepts into clear, sharp advice on phone calls, live chat, and emails
• Own It, End to End: Take full ownership of customer issues from "we have a problem" to "problem solved"
• Team Up with Tech Leaders: Partner directly with Engineering and Product teams to test new gear and hunt down bugs before anyone else
• Share Knowledge: Write Knowledge Base content that helps thousands of users

What You Bring

• Available for a full-time (40 hours per week) in-person internship for Spring 2027 in San Mateo, CA
• A third or fourth-year student in a Bachelor's degree program from an accredited university, with a focus on a related technical field likeNetworking, Telecommunications, Systems Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Cybersecurity
• You have coursework experience withcomputer networking, Linux, and computer systems
• You're a problem-solver with a keen eye for detail
• You can clearly and confidently communicate complex technical information
• You thrive in a team environment
• Industry certifications (like CCNP, CCNA, or Network+) are a bonus, but not required!
