Our solutions for homes and buildings enable clients to control environments via systems such as Audio Visual, Lighting, Shading, Security, Building Management, and HVAC, enhancing comfort, convenience, and security.

The Application Engineer provides advanced technical support across all Crestron platforms and video conferencing solutions. Responsibilities include assisting customers via phone, email, and chat, troubleshooting issues, analyzing logs, supporting documentation, and escalation as needed.

This position is for 3rd Shift: 10 am – 7 pm CST

  • Build and maintain customer rapport, ensuring they understand Crestron’s support commitment.
  • Identify specifics of reported issues, including description, system configurations, and deployment environment.
  • Review documentation with customers, including Crestron and third-party conferencing services.
  • Analyze log files and customer network issues.
  • Create RMAs for customer sites as needed.
  • Contribute to the knowledgebase with articles, documentation, and tools.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology field or 3+ years relevant industry experience.
  • 3+ years installing, configuring, supporting technology.
  • Knowledge of Networking (Multicast, Dante, AES67) and Diagnostics.
  • Experience with Crestron Home, D3 Pro Lightning, Residential Installation.
  • Familiarity with Linux OS.
  • Programming skills in C#, CSS, HTML5 preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of Commercial/Residential A/V technologies.
  • Ability to read schematics and interpret system data.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and create demo programs in native Crestron platforms.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% with overnight stays.
  • Remote work considered with appropriate experience.

Salary range: $67,500 - $96,500 annually, based on experience and location.
