Job summary

KLA seeks a Technical Support Engineer to diagnose and resolve complex optical/electro-mechanical systems. You will lead escalation efforts, document technical findings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure fast, effective responses for our customers.

Responsibilities include on-site support, postmortem reporting, and involvement in NPI and cost-reduction initiatives. Travel up to 50% worldwide is expected, with training and deployment of new equipment at customer sites.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree with 2 years related experience, or equivalent.
• Experience diagnosing complex optical/electro-mechanical systems is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnosis, troubleshooting and debugging for complex equipment and software.
• Lead issues to resolution, coordinating resources and documenting POAs and findings.
• Detail troubleshooting steps and postmortem reports for service teams.
• Travel 25–50% domestically and internationally to support escalated issues on site.
• Support NPI and sustaining cost-reduction through improvement opportunities and project work.
• Assist in customer installation, relocation and upgrades, and provide training.
