Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated, within Hubbell Utility Solutions, seeks a Technical Support Engineering Coordinator to diagnose and resolve customer issues across water, gas and electric utilities. You will triage, communicate updates, and collaborate with internal teams while contributing to knowledge base and self-service content.

The role requires strong engineering/tech background, customer-facing experience, and comfort with SQL databases, UNIX/Linux, and CRM systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology or Associate’s with related experience
• Four years of related experience in lieu of degree
• One year of customer facing support experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
• Experience with Oracle PL/SQL, UNIX/Linux
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to clearly communicate technical information to diverse users
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 10%
• Available for 24/7 on-call as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide triage support for Aclara product lines (software head end, collector, communication links, endpoint, integrations)
• Update and maintain information on customer issues in the CRM
• Ensure compliance with maintenance agreements through timely response and resolution
• Own customer issues and provide updates through resolution
• Communicate technical information to customers with varying levels of understanding
• Contribute to product knowledgebase for self-service and internal learning
• Troubleshoot TCP/IP, RF, serial communication, hardware and firmware
• Perform root-cause analysis with incomplete information
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and improve products
• Develop custom SQL queries and analyze databases (SQL Server and Oracle)
• Create scripts and tasks to provide solutions and workarounds
• Be available 24/7 on-call as scheduled
