Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated’s Aclara division seeks a Technical Support Engineering Coordinator in St. Louis, MO (and Solon, OH) to engage with utility customers, respond to issues, and drive timely resolutions.

You will troubleshoot TCP/IP, RF, serial, and hardware/firmware problems, create knowledgebase content, analyze data with SQL/Oracle, and be available on-call 24/7. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology or an Associate’s degree with related experience.
• 4+ years of related experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.
• 1 year of customer-facing support experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide triage support for Aclara product lines (software head end, collector, communication links, endpoint, integrations and business processes).
• Own customer issues and provide updates through resolution, coordinating with internal groups or vendors.
• Communicate technical information clearly to customers in various utility roles.
• Contribute to the product knowledgebase to improve self-service and internal knowledge.
• Troubleshoot TCP/IP, RF, serial communication, hardware and firmware issues.
• Perform root-cause analyses using incomplete information to drive resolution.
• Collaborate across departments to resolve issues and improve products.
• Develop SQL and Oracle queries to identify and correct performance issues.
• Create scripts and tasks for solutions and temporary workarounds.
• Be available 24/7 on-call as needed.
