This is a hands‑on, in‑office role for someone who genuinely enjoys solving problems for people, not just tickets.

If you are the kind of IT professional who can troubleshoot a laptop in the morning, support a multi‑site environment in the afternoon, and still bring curiosity to learning new tools and AI‑driven workflows, this role should feel like a strong fit.

Why you will want this role (the sizzle)

Here is the "what's in it for you":

  • Established, stable employer: Long‑standing company with a strong reputation in its industry and a multi‑site Southern California footprint
  • Real visibility: You will work closely with senior technology leadership and have direct line of sight into how IT supports the broader business
  • Modern tech environment: Exposure to a well‑built stack including Google Workspace, Okta, Active Directory, and Apple device management tools
  • Growth‑minded culture: Strong commitment to professional development, continuing education, and staying current with new technologies, including practical AI and LLM applications
  • Supportive team: Collaborative environment where customer service, follow‑through, and clean documentation are genuinely valued
  • Strong benefits: Medical, dental, vision (high employer contribution), 401(k) match, and additional voluntary coverage
  • Variety of work: Multi‑site support, on‑call rotation participation, and exposure to both Windows and Mac environments
Role snapshot
  • Title: Technical Support Engineer
  • Location: Greater San Diego Area, on‑site 5 days per week with occasional travel between local sites
  • Schedule: Full‑time, exempt
  • Compensation: $70,000 to $85,000 base (DOE), with stretch up to $100,000 for candidates with a relevant degree, coding experience, and working knowledge of AI and LLM tools
  • Benefits: Medical, dental, vision (80% employer contribution for family medical and dental), 401(k) with match, life and disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits
  • Pre‑employment: E‑Verify, background check, basic drug screen
Your mission

You will serve on the front lines of the technology team, delivering high‑quality support to end users while helping maintain and improve the cloud‑based platforms that drive the business. You will be the kind of trusted technical partner that employees want to call first.

A strong first 90 days includes:

  • Getting fluent in the existing tech stack and ticketing workflow

  • Identifying early opportunities to improve documentation, self‑help resources, and process consistency
  • Becoming a reliable go‑to across multiple sites for hardware, software, and connectivity issues
