Corewell Health's Royal Oak Hospital, part of a major health system, seeks OR support staff to assist with equipment in the operating room and coordinate maintenance. The role includes patient handling under surgeon direction and active scrubbing for camera, limb, and retractor work.

The position requires a high school diploma, sterile technique training, and BLS certification, with OR experience preferred. It is a full-time daytime role in Royal Oak, MI within a comprehensive benefits framework.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Stealth Navigation Training Course required.
• Davinci Robotic training required.
• PeopleSoft training class offered.
• O-Arm training required.
• Sterile Technique training with the OR educator required.
• Experience in the OR preferred.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire required.

Responsibilities

• Assists the professional staff with the daily handling of equipment needs in the OR environment.
• Coordinates PMIs and repairs with appropriate disciplines.
• Sets up and checks patient equipment prior to case starts.
• Transfer and position the patient under the direction of the surgeon.
• Scrubs in to hold cameras, limbs, and retractors, under the direction of the surgeon.
• Assists the surgical team in room turnover.
