Job Summary:
The Flow Cytometry Technical Supervisor provides operational and technical leadership for a high-volume clinical flow cytometry laboratory in the Hematopathology Division at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. The supervisor oversees daily laboratory operations, provides technical direction to staff, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports delivery of high-quality diagnostic testing in a clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise Medical Laboratory Scientist staff engaged in clinical flow cytometry testing.
• Maintain quality systems, including quality control, proficiency testing, competency assessment, and documentation in compliance with CAP and CLIA standards.
• Oversee instrument performance, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with laboratory leadership and hematopathologists to support operational excellence and patient care.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience in clinical flow cytometry in a diagnostic laboratory setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification or equivalent.
• Supervisory or technical leadership experience in a clinical laboratory.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems and regulatory compliance.

Clinical Environment:
