Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of software engineering and open-source development focusing on Firmware, Kernel, and OS in Arm or RISC-V systems.
• 4+ years with technical standards bodies or industry organizations (UEFI Forum, OCP, Linux Foundation, JEDEC, ISO, PCIe, IEEE, DMTF).
• Strong networking and influencing skills.
• Global travel several times per year for standards organization forums.

Your responsibility will include understanding data center firmware and software industry landscapes and domestic and international competitors' strength and weaknesses, working with internal partners to identify existing and emerging standards for Qualcomm to focus on, working with external partners in developing and promoting standards, helping formulate, maintain and execute on Qualcomm’s strategy for data center standards, and working with attorneys to file patents that protect the novel IP aspects of any inventions.The key area of focus for the candidate is firmware and software standards for data center systems spanning server, edge and accelerators. System software development experience in firmware, kernel and Linux operating systems is a must. UEFI, drivers, kernel virtualization, hypervisor, systems management, network management, compiler, toolchain and QEMU experience are highly desirable.
