Job Description
Our product portfolio includes 8‑bit, 16‑bit, and 32‑bit microcontrollers, 32‑bit microprocessors, FPGAs, high‑performance linear, mixed‑signal, power, thermal, RF, timing, safety, security, wired and wireless connectivity devices, serial EEPROM, Serial Flash, Parallel Flash, and serial SRAM. We also license Flash‑IP solutions used in a broad range of products.
The Technical Staff Engineer – Digital Design is based in the San Jose, CA office. The FTS systems group develops network timing equipment such as PTP Grandmasters and NTP servers. The role focuses on creating and maintaining FPGA IP units and full FPGA system design, including collaboration with HW/SW/Marketing/Test/Manufacturing teams, planning, specification, design, documentation, simulation, hardware bring‑up, and product sustaining. Future team‑lead or management responsibilities are possible.
This role requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware controlled by U.S. export laws. Candidates must provide proof of U.S. citizenship, permanent U.S. residency, or protection status as defined in 8 USC 1324b(a)(3).

Physical Requirements: 70% sitting; 15% walking; 15% standing; 100% in doors; usual business hours
The total compensation package includes base pay, restricted stock units, quarterly bonuses, health benefits, retirement savings plans, and an industry‑leading ESPP with a 2‑year look‑back feature. Base salary range: $70,304 – $143,000, depending on location, skills, and experience.
