Job summary

Education Service Center Region 13 is seeking a Technology and Creative Development/Technical Specialist I to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external clients, defining project needs and implementing technical solutions.

This full-time role supports multiple teams, oversees learning platforms and dashboards, and develops automation and documentation while managing project assets and reporting for education initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in project management.
  • Experience with cloud-based software (Adobe, Smartsheet, Google Suite) and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a representative of ESC Region 13, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other members of the educational community and with the public
  • Provide technical assistance and support to internal and external clients
  • Deliver internal and external systems training(s) as appropriate
  • Oversee detailed communication cycles, including identifying assets and stakeholders
  • Manage and track stipends and invoices for statewide reviewers
  • Oversee content development and publication for Weekly Brief and other division initiatives
  • Manage online learning platforms and dashboards
  • Develop process documents, technical writings, automations, and efficiencies across division
  • Support multiple teams in the department with general administrative duties
  • Develop and implement tools to support more efficient and robust data management and systems administration among stakeholders
  • Utilize web-based project management software to manage deadlines, monitor progress, and track accurate data for project administration and financial management
  • Develop technical aspects of grant life cycles, including reporting, amendments, and errata
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Reports To: Director of Special Projects

Salary: This is a full-time twelve (12) month position at 232 days with a minimum annual salary of $64,392.

Job Summary (Primary Purpose): Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external clients to define project needs, create efficiencies, implement technical solutions, and monitor project progress.

Required Qualifications (Experience, Education, and Certificates):

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in project management
  • Experience with cloud-based software (i.e. Adobe, Smartsheet, Google Suite) and Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications (Experience, Education, and Certificates):

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in developing grant proposals and technical documentation
  • Experience in creating and tracking multi-media workplans

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Skills in written and oral communication
  • Adept at working on simultaneous projects at different stages
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal/external clients to ensure that expectations are met
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, and Smartsheet (specifically creating templates)
  • Skills in organizing and managing project assets
  • Attention to detail and timeliness of task completion with high-quality control
  • Ability to write complex technical reports on project activities for internal and external clients
  • Experience with analytics tools and ability to report on trends/findings
  • Working knowledge of trends, processes and best practices in education initiatives
  • Experience managing multiple projects and perspectives to reach and exceed project goals
  • Ability to summarize data to build, analyze, and optimize project management processes
  • Proficient in technology for workplace productivity and efficiency

Supervisory Responsibilities: May assist in training new hires

Budget Responsibilities:

  • Support budget development and management for statewide grants/contracts
  • Support budget management and revenue for local projects

Working Conditions (Physical/Mental Demands & Environmental Factors):

  • Follow policies and procedures
  • Lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds
  • This is an onsite, in person position with the ability to work remotely one day per week up to four days per month.

Equipment Used: General office equipment, Windows computer and peripherals, audio/visual equipment, and other equipment as requirements change.
