Technical Specialist, Data Engineering - Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)

Join a growing engineering team building a modern, cloud-based data platform from the ground up. This is an opportunity to help shape the future of enterprise data architecture by designing scalable, high-performance data solutions using open-source technologies while collaborating with experienced technical leaders.

In this role, you'll own the end-to-end data pipeline, moving data from OLTP (transactional) systems into OLAP (analytical) environments. You'll design data models, implement Change Data Capture (CDC) solutions, build robust ETL/data transformation pipelines, and develop a scalable analytics platform using Apache Iceberg, Debezium, Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, and AWS.

We're seeking an engineer with hands-on production experience designing and supporting enterprise data platforms—not candidates whose experience is limited to personal or side projects. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in OLTP-to-OLAP data movement, Apache Iceberg, CDC, data modeling, and AWS, with the ability to work across the entire solution-from infrastructure through the data layer.

Experience with Databricks, PostgreSQL, Python, PySpark, or the financial services industry is a plus but not required.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, influencing architecture, and building solutions that make a lasting impact.
