Job summary

TEEMA Solutions Group in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Technical Specialist, Data Engineering to help build a modern, cloud-based data platform in a hybrid environment.

You will own end-to-end data pipelines from OLTP to OLAP, design data models, and implement CDC and ETL pipelines using Apache Iceberg, Debezium, Kafka, Flink, and AWS.

Experience with Databricks, PostgreSQL, Python, PySpark is a plus but not required. This is an individual contributor role with a clear path to technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Hands-on production experience designing and supporting enterprise data platforms.
• Strong expertise in OLTP-to-OLAP data movement and data modeling.
• Experience with Iceberg, CDC, and AWS in cloud-based data platforms.
• Familiarity with Databricks and PostgreSQL is a plus.

Technical Specialist, Data Engineering – Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)

Join a growing engineering team building a modern, cloud-based data platform from the ground up. This is an opportunity to help shape the future of enterprise data architecture by designing scalable, high-performance data solutions using open-source technologies while collaborating with experienced technical leaders.

In this role, you'll own the end-to-end data pipeline, moving data from OLTP (transactional) systems into OLAP (analytical) environments. You'll design data models, implement Change Data Capture (CDC) solutions, build robust ETL/data transformation pipelines, and develop a scalable analytics platform using Apache Iceberg, Debezium, Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, and AWS.

We're seeking an engineer with hands-on production experience designing and supporting enterprise data platforms—not candidates whose experience is limited to personal or side projects. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in OLTP-to-OLAP data movement, Apache Iceberg, CDC, data modeling, and AWS, with the ability to work across the entire solution—from infrastructure through the data layer.

Experience with Databricks, PostgreSQL, Python, PySpark, or the financial services industry is a plus but not required.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, influencing architecture, and building solutions that make a lasting impact.
