Base pay range

$108,000.00/yr - $125,000.00/yr

Overview

The Technical Solutions Engineer is responsible for partnering with our key business stakeholders to define changes to our processes and software to improve efficiency and capability in our warehouses. The Technical Solutions Engineer designs the technical solutions and writes code while working with our DevOps, Networking, and Server teams to improve our delivery, stability, and security.

Essential Functions

  • Collaborates with key stakeholders, product owners, and team members to define architecture solutions for software and automation systems
  • Ensures alignment with SOLID principles and leveraging of appropriate design patterns
  • Produces design documentation of enterprise and division level systems
  • Provides high level estimates for expected project effort
  • Collaborates with team members on implementation of software development and modifications
  • Estimates features and stories for inclusion in Agile sprints
  • Completes assigned development tasks independently using SQL, C#, HTML, Bootstrap (or other HTML/JS component system), and/or PLC/ladder logic
  • Partners with team members to complete code reviews of changes and deployment plans
  • Partners with our DevOps resources and Developers to grow our CI/CD adoption and capabilities
  • Works with developers to identify and rectify technical debt
  • Recommends additional tools and best practices to improve our quality and speed of delivery while improving our security posture
  • Maintains strict confidentiality
  • Performs other duties and/or tasks as assigned

Required Qualifications and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 4‑6 years of experience designing and implementing enterprise‑grade systems with C#
  • 4‑6 years of experience leading design and architecture efforts for large, complex systems
  • 2‑4 years of experience mentoring developers, leading technical projects, and driving process improvement in Agile or hybrid development environments

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to sit for 7+ hours a day
  • Must be able to read from a screen
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and written
  • Must be able to operate a vehicle for 3+ hours
  • Must be able to travel by air for 8+ hours
