Who You Are...

As Executive Vice President, Chief Technology Officer, you will act as the senior-most technology executive and a core strategic partner to the CEO and Senior Leadership Team. The CTO is accountable for modernizing and securing the Company's technology foundation, building the systems and data capabilities that support a growing, multi-region field services organization, and translating emerging technology - including AI - into practical business advantage. This role requires a leader who sets and executes a multi-year technology vision while remaining hands-on enough to earn credibility with field operations, project teams, and corporate functions alike, in support of the Company's growth and scale.

This Position...

Some examples of the work you might do includes:

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Strategic Roadmap: Develops and executes a multi-year (5-year) technology roadmap tightly linked to business strategy, sequencing investment and securing budget and SLT/Board support to deliver
  • IT System Modernization: Leads enterprise system modernization - (ERP, legacy platform replacement or consolidation, cloud migration, and infrastructure rationalization) - with particular attention to a multi-entity and multi-region.
  • M&A Technology Integration Plans: Partners with SLT and deal team across the full M&A lifecycle - leading technology and data due diligence on targets and owning the post-close systems integration roadmap to support the Company's acquisition strategy.
  • Cybersecurity Leadership: In partnership with CISO, owns the enterprise cybersecurity program end-to-end: risk assessment, incident response readiness, vendor and third-party risk, and board-level risk reporting; builds and matures the security program to address distributed field operations and legacy system exposure.
  • AI Strategy & Development: Evaluates, pilots, and scales AI and automation capabilities - from operational efficiency use cases such as estimating, scheduling, and field data capture, to broader enterprise applications - creating the foundation for long-term success. Owns the AI investment scorecard, tracking every pilot against defined ROI and adoption metrics (e.g., hours saved, error reduction, win-rate increase) so AI spend is held to the same financial discipline as any other capital investment.
  • Workforce Transformation: Drives technology-enabled workforce change, including digital tools adoption in the field, change management across corporate and field/project-based employee populations, and building technology fluency across a workforce spanning office, project site, and skilled trades; secures buy-in from operating leaders who are not technologists.
  • Business Partnership: Partners with the Company's senior executives and assigned work teams to develop technology solutions that facilitate growth for the Company by directly affecting sales and operating efficiency
  • Core IT System Ownership: Oversees the selection, installation, operation, support, and maintenance of the Company's IT technologies and data, including operating systems, networks, telecommunications, hardware, and peripherals, and assumes responsibility for the execution of all technology projects - including training and development of employees using new technologies.
  • Compliance: Ensures appropriate compliance, with regard to IT integrity, with all applicable regulations, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and other government agencies
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Builds and maintains beneficial relationships with business unit leadership teams; facilitates conversations with key stakeholders to understand operational and strategic needs and identifies appropriate technology solutions.
  • Leadership: Responsible for the recruitment, development and organizational effectiveness of the Technology team. Establishes visionary leadership to foster innovation and execution across the organization.
  • Board Engagement: Serves as a periodic presenter to the Board of Directors on technology strategy, AI, cybersecurity posture, digital risk, and investment in new technology applications.
What You Need...
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 10+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, including a proven track record leading enterprise system modernization
  • 5+ years of people management experience, including building and developing a high-performing technology team.
  • 3+ years working directly with senior executives and/or a Board of Directors.
  • Demonstrated, hands-on ownership of an enterprise cybersecurity program, including risk assessment, incident response readiness, vendor/third-party risk, and board-level risk reporting.
  • Direct experience driving technology-enabled workforce change, including digital tools adoption in the field and change management across both corporate and field/project-based employee populations.
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating, piloting, and scaling AI and automation capabilities, with the ability to separate genuine near-term value from hype.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute a multi-year technology roadmap tightly linked to business strategy, including sequencing investment and securing budget and Board support.
  • Ability to effectively communicate (both verbally and in writing) with diverse audiences, including the Board, executive peers, and field operating leadership.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and presentation skills; demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a driving record compliant with the Company's policies and MVR requirements, and consent to ongoing driving record monitoring by the Company.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business; MBA or equivalent advanced degree a plus.
  • Prior experience at a company of similar scale (approximately $600M-$3B in revenue) or a clear, credible growth trajectory into that range.
  • Experience in mechanical/electrical/HVAC, engineering & construction (E&C), industrial services, or other field-services sectors.
  • Familiarity with construction-specific systems and data, including Viewpoint Vista Construction Software, project management platforms, estimating/takeoff tools, and field data capture.
