Job description

Welcome to Guidewire! We develop software solutions for property and casualty insurance companies to better serve their customers during times of crisis, natural disasters, accidents, or cyber risks. We are seeking passionate individuals who are committed to delivering our high-quality products and services to the market.

As a Technology Expert, you will collaborate with our Product and Services teams to understand our offerings, support the Sales team in communicating these to prospective clients, and work directly with prospects and customers to address their business challenges.

You will excel in understanding technical and business process challenges, leading discussions, and demonstrating complex solutions. This role requires a blend of business acumen, listening skills, technical design, and effective communication.

A willingness to travel up to 40% is required, with some variation week-to-week.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Articulate technical details of our solutions, including cloud architecture, SaaS components, and product configurations, through demonstrations and discussions.
2. Support the sales process by providing expert knowledge on technical and SaaS aspects of Guidewire solutions.
3. Partner with Functional Solution Consultants on application configuration and support during demonstrations.
4. Develop tailored solutions for customer-specific problems in collaboration with Professional Services and Product Development.
5. Identify new platform requirements and work with Product Development to design solutions.
6. Respond to inquiries from prospects and analysts in writing.
7. Over time, learn enough about our software's functional capabilities and customer business problems to lead targeted demonstrations and answer functional questions.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong verbal and presentation skills
• Effective written communication skills
• Proficiency in Java and other modern programming languages
• Knowledge of database systems and concepts
• Understanding of integration mechanisms and patterns
• Experience with software development lifecycle tools and processes
• Familiarity with cloud computing and SaaS industry trends

Preferred Knowledge:

• Experience with InsuranceNow Configuration
• Background in modern P&C insurance systems
• Experience in Technical Pre-Sales
• Knowledge of RESTful architecture and development
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and related technologies
• Understanding of Authentication and Authorization concepts
• Familiarity with modern JavaScript web toolkits

Additional Information:

The US base salary range is $129,000 - $193,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary is determined by role, level, location, skills, experience, and education. Further details will be shared during the hiring process.
