Job summary

Teradyne is seeking a Technical Software Engineering Manager I in Agoura Hills, CA to lead a small team of software engineers within the Compute Software Solutions organization. This role balances people leadership with technical guidance and hands-on involvement in architecture discussions and project planning.

The successful candidate will drive development of scalable software solutions, collaborate with product, systems, hardware, quality, and program management teams, and steward delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field is required.
• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Prior technical leadership experience leading projects or small engineering teams.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience delivering commercial or enterprise software products.
• Experience with object-oriented programming and modern software development methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, code quality practices, testing methodologies, and source control systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and drive execution through others.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 4-5 software engineers.
• Manage software development schedules, priorities, and resource planning.
• Guide technical design discussions and software architecture decisions.
• Support development of scalable, maintainable, and reliable software solutions.
